Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas.
Popularly known for the Victoria Falls', they resemble a curtain of water plunging deep into the Zambezi Gorge creating a cloud of mist that can be seen up to 30kms away, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Zimbabwe's largest wildlife sanctuary is Hwange National Park, situated on the western border with Botswana. Hwange is home to one of Africa's largest elephant populations and myriad of other species, like hippos, rhinos and a wide variety of avian life.

The US dollar is the official currency for governmental transactions in Zimbabwe, as the use of foreign currencies as tender is legalised. Zimbabwe has sixteen official languages, one of which is English. Zimbabwe can be visited any time of the year, the best wildlife viewing time is in the dry season, May to October, when animals congregate around the rivers and waterhole; the best time to see Victoria Falls is from May through September.
