Itinerary

Day 1
Arrive in Orange Open or Close

Arrive into Orange, a city that breathes the charm of the Provence with its small shops and cafés.
Meals: None.

Day 2
Orange - Châteauneuf du Pape - Orange; Cycle (Approx. 45 km) Open or Close

Today you ride to the wine-growing town of Chateauneuf-du-Pape where the vineyards were supposedly cultivated by the popes. Cycle back to Orange via the Courthezon fortress for your overnight stay.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 3
Orange - Vaison-la-Romaine; Cycle (Approx. 45 km) Open or Close

Cycle through the vineyards of the Cote du Rhone to the historical town of Vaison-la-Romaine. It is recommended to visit the ruins of the old Roman town as well as the Roman church, Notre Dame de Nazareth.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 4
Tag Vaison-la-Romaine round trip (approx. 26 km) Open or Close

Take your bike through the wine-growing town of Sables and the mountain ranges of Dentelles des Montmirail” to Carpentras, the old capital of the Pope's estate, Venaissin.
Meals: Breakfast.

Day 5
Vaison-la-Romaine– L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue (approx. 55 km) Open or Close

After seeing the famous spring of Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, cycle to the small town of L´Isle-sur-la-Sorgue for your overnight stay. The water-wheels and numerous antique shops will invite you for a leisurely stroll.

Day 6
L´Isle-sur-la-Sorgue - Avignon; Cycle (Approx. 45 km) Open or Close

As you cycle along river Sorgue, you may stop to visit the grotto of Thouzon, the only public accessible stalactite cavern of the Provence. Continue along the tranquil roads of Durance to reach Avignon for your overnight stay. A visit to the Pope's Palace is recommended.

Day 7
Avignon - Orange, Departure; Cycle (Approx. 35 km) Open or Close

Today you cycle from Avignon to Orange where your trip ends. Extend your stay in Orange or further customize the rest of your trip.
