Zambia

Zambia is a landlocked country in Sothern Africa. Home to the largest waterfall in the world, Victoria Falls, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the country also boasts of untrammelled wilderness, the wild Zambezi river and the most amazing wealth of wildlife. A visit to Zambia is a must to get a glimpse of ‘real Africa’ and experience the legendary African walking safari. 
Zambia has a vast collection of waterfalls, cataracts, rapids and cascades. Victoria Falls steals the limelight, but you can also visit the Kalambo and Ngonye Falls. Wildlife safaris in Kafue National Park and West Lunga National Park which is covered with forest, will take your breath away. The longest lake in the world, Lake Tanganyika, and the magnificent Zambezi River, are also the star attractions here. The urban centres like the capital city of Lusaka and Livingstone exhibit diverse cultures and a vibrancy which should not be missed.
Adventure is the key word in Zambia. Extreme sports like abseiling and bungee jumping from the top of Victoria falls, the sights and sounds of Mother Nature while you take an elephant ride, gorge swinging and river rafting in the Bakota Gorge, kayaking and river boarding in the wild Zambezi, and taking a walk with lions and cheetahs in the wild, are just a few of the amazing adventurous activities in Zambia.
New Kwacha is the currency and exchange is possible at banks. English is the official language here. The people are friendly, curious and helpful. Best time to visit is from March-May. Game viewing is best in winters.
