Covering about 100km and close to 6,500m of total ascent this trip takes us through the Alps of France, Italy, and Switzerland. It is one of the world’s greatest walks, offering trekkers a tough challenge with spectacular scenery. Your reward on this trek is mesmerising views of glaciers, steep valleys, and, of course, Mont Blanc itself. 
Travel across high passes and through Alpine meadows, recharging at night with delicious mountain cuisine in simple refuges. Challenge yourself to conquer one of the world's premiere hiking routes, uncovering the alpine heart of Europe on this incredible expedition.
The Tour du Mont Blanc features in the World’s top ten 'must do' treks and it's not hard to understand why. Our trip starts in the village of Les Contamines and we travel through the Aosta Valley of Italy and spend one night in Switzerland before returning to France to end the trip in Chamonix where we have a well-earned day off to explore this beautiful little town. 
The greatest takeaway from this Internship is the extraordinary sense of personal accomplishment that comes along with it. Itinerary

Day 1
Arrival - Les Contamines Montjoie Open or Close

The group flight arrives in Geneva airport this morning. From here, we will be transferred to the village of Les Contamines Montjoie – a historic village and ski resort close to the Chamonix Valley. This village is a hiker’s paradise with many important mountain summits in close reach.

Day 2
Les Contamines to Massif du Beaufortain (1600mt ascent) Open or Close

Getting an early start is important in the mountains and we head off after an early breakfast for the beginning of our great adventure – trekking the Mont Blanc Trail!
Today is a 1600 + meter ascent as we hike the two Savoy counties, making our way to the Beaufortain mountain range. Well known in France and elsewhere for the cheese by the same name. Tonight, we spend the first of two nights in the “Massif du Beaufortain”.

Day 3
Massif du Beaufortain (1100mt ascent) Open or Close

Today is another long day of climbing with a total ascent of over 1100mts. This is also our second night in the “Massif du Beaufortain” region. More of the famous Beaufort cheese for all!

Day 4
Massif du Beaufortain to Valle d’Aosta (800mt ascent) Open or Close

This is a special day as we continue our trek as we cross over from France to Italy. In the mountains there are no borders, so you might not notice your passage into “le Val d’Aoste” in the neighboring country of Italy. Lying in the Western Alps, it's known for the iconic, snow-capped peaks the Matterhorn, Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and Gran Paradiso.

Day 5
Aosta Valley (700mt ascent) Open or Close

We continue our trek in the Aosta Valley with a 700 ascent today. We trek through the pastures of Arp Vieille through stunning scenery and delicious Italian cuisine to keep us going! Spend tonight at the beautiful bottom of the Aosta valley.

Day 6
Aosta Valley to Switzerland (750mt ascent) Open or Close

Today we cross over from Italy into Switzerland, our third country in almost as many days! As the national borders of France, Italy, and Switzerland come together you will find common denominators, a mountain attitude, dishes that resemble each other but the ambiance changes with each country. Tonight, at the end of a hard day’s trekking we experience the Swiss way of life.

Day 7
Chamonix Valley (900mt ascent) Open or Close

With our trek almost at an end we cross over from Switzerland to France. Fantastic views while we make our way to the Chamonix Valley. Chamonix is the North side of the Mont Blanc summit and was the venue of the first Winter Olympics in 1924.

Day 8
Chamonix Valley – Chamonix Mont Blanc (300mt ascent) Open or Close

We finish the Mont Blanc trek on a high with stunning views of the mountain as we trek to our final destination - the village of Chamonix Mont Blanc!
Today is an early start and a relatively short day of trekking. We can expect to reach by the afternoon and then have the evening to explore this beautiful little village.

Day 9
Chamonix – departure Open or Close

With the trip of a lifetime at an end, we are transferred back to Geneva airport for our flight back home.
