Experience

The Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon is an IAAF Gold Label Road Race and is tipped to be the next addition to the World Marathon Majors. Since its review was announced, the race has been sold out within weeks of the race opening for registrations. The course takes you through some of Singapore’s most spectacular & historic landmarks such as The War Memorial, Singapore Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore flyer etc.  Runners participating in the marathon are pampered with some amazing participant support and it is one of the few races where you can enjoy the sundowner experience while running.

Itinerary

Day 1
Day 1 (Friday, 29th Nov) Open or Close

Make your way from the airport to the hotel (our detailed travel documents will provide you with information on how you can get to the hotel). Later heading over to the Sands Expo and Convention Centre Hall B&C, to collect the bib at the expo. How about spending the evening with a cycling tour along the Marina Bay? Ask us for our optional tour.

Day 2
Day 2 (Saturday, 30th Nov) Open or Close

Race Day is finally here! The race starts only in the evening but we want to spend the day resting in anticipation of the event, so nothing has been planned for the morning. At 6 pm you’ll flag off from the F1 pit taking of the challenge for the day.
Singapore is a city that never sleeps so don’t think of hanging your boots after the race. Go head and hit the party spots.

Day 3
Day 3 (Sunday, 1st Dec) Open or Close

Post breakfast head off to one of Singapore’s most popular attractions: the Universal Studios in Sentosa Island! Before leaving for Universal studios check out and leave your bags at the left-luggage.
Spend the day at Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park, featuring 24 rides, shows and attractions in seven themed zones. Pick up your bags and head to the airport for your night flight back home.

Singapore – IBIS Singapore on Bencoolen
Awards: Best Economy Hotel in Asia Pacific by TTG in 2009-12. 
The hotel is centrally located, close places such as Sim Lim Square, Bugis Junction and Orchard. Little India is a 10 min walk away with plenty of food places to choose from. Bencoolen metro station and numerous bus routes are located very close to the hotel and many sights on the tourist trail are within walking distance. TASTE Restaurant serves international cuisine and local Singapore dishes daily. Hotel facilities include free Wi-Fi, free use of a bamboo bicycle and reloadable EZ-link card. The hotel is within 3kms distance from the expo & the start and finish line.

A complete registration form with a non-refundable deposit of INR 10,000 per person to confirm your space. Full payment is due before 15 October 2019.
Cancellation on or after the 16th October 2019 is subject to 100% cancellation.
All race entries are strictly non-transferable to a different runner or to a future event. 
Race entry if booked by us is non-refundable. 

FAQs

Q.1 Q: Can I book extra nights before or after the race? Open or Close

Yes, please get in touch with us and we will be happy to book the extra nights for you. Singapore is a great destination for solo travelers as well as for families and we’ll be glad to curate a happy holiday for you in Singapore or an extension closeby.  

Q.2 Q. Is the race entry guaranteed if I book a package through Active Holiday Company? Open or Close

A. Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon package excludes the race entry. However you may book the race entry in addition to the marathon tour package.  

Q.3 Q: Will I have to collect my own bib? Open or Close

A: Yes, the marathon requires that the participants attend the expo in person and collect their bibs. Your travel documents will contain detailed instructions on how to get to and from the expo from your hotel. 

Q.4 Q: How far is the hotel from the start/finish line? Open or Close

A: The start/finish line are the same, the hotel is within 3kms from the start and finish line.

Q.5 Q: What categories of hotels are used? Open or Close

A: The IBIS Singapore on Bencoolen is a 3* hotel. It is chosen for its fabulous location and ease of access but all our runners also love the service and the rooms there.

Q.6 Q: I am a single traveller, is it possible for me to get a twin share room? Open or Close

A: We have several single travellers interested in sharing a room with another traveller and, wherever possible, we try to pair up people who have requested rooms on twin share. However, please keep in mind that this is not a guarantee and in some cases you might be required to take a single supplement.

Q.7 Q: Is it possible for me to buy just the race entry and make my own accommodation arrangements? Open or Close

A: As Tour Operators, we are required to sell the race entry along with accommodation. It will not be possible to buy just the race entry.

Q.8 Q: I’ve got the race entry through the Ballot/Charity; can I buy the accommodation from Active Holiday Company? Open or Close

A: Yes, it is possible for us to organize accommodation for you if you already have the entry or if you are travelling with a non-running companion. However, please note that this will be at the same hotel as the rest of the group travelling on our package.

Q.9 Q: I am taking the race package through Active Holiday Company, is it possible for me to upgrade my accommodation? Open or Close

A: Yes, we can offer you options of other hotels in Singapore based on your preference. However prices for hotels are generally on the higher side during events such as the marathon. 

Q.10 Q. I cannot attend this race. Is it possible for me to transfer my registration to another runner? Open or Close

A. All race entries are strictly non-transferable to a different runner or to a future dates.
