The Sydney Marathon is Australia’s largest running festival attracting thousands of participants who run across the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge and finish under the sails of the Sydney Opera House. The Sydney Marathon is also the first event in the Southern Hemisphere to achieve the highly prestigious World Athletics Platinum Label and with this Platinum Label it is now ranked eighth in the world, becoming one of the leading global road races. The Sydney Marathon is the Official Candidate race for the Abbott World Marathon Majors (Abbott WMM). 
The 2024 edition of the race promises to be more exciting than ever with an all new marathon course with more course enterntainment and a new cut-off time of 7 hours. September is the best time of the year in Sydney and you are sure to want to add more time to explore its art museums, famous landmarks and monuments, fun bars, clubs, restaurants, and of course, beautiful beaches.

Itinerary

Day 1
13th Sept '24 Friday: Arrival Open or Close

After arrival at the Airport, Make your way to the hotel and Check-in. Make sure you arrive well in advance so that you have the time to visit the expo as well.

Day 2
14th Sept '24 Saturday: Sydney: Afternoon Harbour Sightseeing Cruise Open or Close

Take a sightseeing cruise and take in the beauties of Sydney Harbour. Experience the Sydney Opera House and the Royal Botanical Gardens while listening to enlightening live commentary about the city's past. Enjoy complimentary hot beverages, fresh fruit, and cookies as you travel.

Take an afternoon sightseeing boat, departing from Eastern Pontoon in Circular Quay. See all the sites in between as well as some of Sydney's most recognizable monuments, such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge, and Royal Botanical Gardens. Enjoy a refreshing cup of tea or coffee from the beverage station along with some fruit and sweets. Enjoy live commentary from an experienced skipper along the route.

15th Sept '24 Sunday:Race Day Open or Close

Today is race day. Enjoy the energy of the event as you run one of the world’s most scenic marathon courses, taking in some of Sydney’s most spectacular and historic landmarks including the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House.

16th Sept '24 Monday:Departure Day Open or Close

After having breakfast in the morning depart on your own to the airport or maybe even better extend your trip and visit more of Sydney.

Hotel: Mariners Court Hotel Sydney
The Mariners Court Hotel is one of Sydney's best kept secrets. This 3 and half star hotel is centrally located near the famous Woolloomooloo Finger Wharf, local cafes and restaurants. The hotel is positioned only a short walk from the Art Gallery of NSW, Botanical Gardens, Circular Quay and only a few minutes walk to the city centre and Kings Cross. Just 2 kms from the Finish Point.

To confirm your booking a non-refundable deposit of INR 25,000 per person and INR 5000 per companion is needed to confirm your race participation and accommodation. 

Full payment is due before 30th June 2024.

Q.1 What is the minimum age to enter the Sydney Marathon & Sydney Marathon 21.1km (Half Marathon)? Open or Close

All entrants must be aged 18 years or older on event day to participate in the Sydney Marathon. All entrants must be aged 15 years or older on event day to participate in the Sydney Marathon 21.1k. There is no age restriction for participating in the Sydney Marathon 10k and the Sydney Marathon Family Run 3.5k.

Q.2 Where do I collect my race bib? Open or Close

<p>All
race bibs will need to be collected from the Sydney Running Show. To access the
Sydney Running Show venue on foot, please enter between 75 &amp; 86 O’Riordan
St, Alexandria and follow the event signage.</p><br />

Q.3 Where is the start and finish areas? Open or Close

<p>The start area
is located at Bradfield Park, Milsons Point – under the northern end of the
Sydney Harbour Bridge and adjacent to Milsons Point train station.</p>
<p>The finish area for the Sydney Marathon and Sydney
Marathon 10km is at the Sydney Opera House, while the Sydney Marathon 21.1km
and Sydney Marathon Family Run 3.5km will finish at the Royal Botanic Gardens
