Day 1
Munich - Food and beer walking tour Open or Close

Arrive in Munich in time for your 6pm food and beer walking tour of Munich. Check in to your hotel before meeting your tour group at the Munich Hauptbahnhof station for your a tour of Munich the focuses what the city is perhaps best-known for; its Bavarian Beers! Get into the heart of Munich’s "Oktoberfest" culture and visit the places where the locals go to eat, drink and be merry!

Day 2
Munich - Salzburg Open or Close

Spend the morning exploring Munich on your own before taking the train to Salzburg in the afternoon. Named after the Salzach River, with medieval and baroque buildings of the pedestrian Altstadt (Old City) on its left bank, facing the 19th-century Neustadt (New City) on its right, this Austrian city has a unique charm.
You have the evening free to spend as you please.

Day 3
Salzburg - Wolfgangsee - Sound of music cycling tour Open or Close

Begin the day with a Sound of Music cycling tour of Salzburg! Visit all the most recognisable spots from the movie including the Nonnberg Abbey, Residenz Platz, Felsenreitschule, Frohnburg Palace, and all of the others.
At the end of the cycling trip, return to your hotel and you will be picked up for your transfer to Wolfgangsee for the start of your walking trip.

Day 4
Wolfgangsee – Bad Ischl (Walking 16km; approx. 4.5hrs) Open or Close

For your first day of walking set out from Wolfgangsee on Saddle walk to lake Schwarzensee. Here, the lake cabin of Lore is worth a stop for the delicious home made snacks. Carry on via Wirer gorge into the valley and around Bürglstein to the lake promenade of Strobl. From here, you can take a bus into the ancient Imperial summer residence of Bad Ischl.

Day 5
Bad Ischl - Bad Goisern (walking 12km; approx. 3.5hrs) Open or Close

Salt always has been an important source of income in Salzkammergut. The oldest brine pipeline of the world leads from Hallstatt’s salt mine to the salt works in Bad Ischl. This morning you will be walking along the promenade into Kaltenbachau, a site of Imperial pleasures as horse races and picnics, on the brine pipeline trail to Bad Goisern, the gateway to UNESCO heritage Hallstatt.

Day 6
Bad Goisern - Wolfgangsee (walking 18km; approx. 5.5hrs) Open or Close

Set off along the romantic Sissi-Path and walk to the tiny lake Nussensee then along river Ischl back to lake Wolfgangsee. Continue through the nature reserve Blinklingmoos along the lake back to today’s stop-over.

Day 7
Wolfgangsee – Salzburg - Venice Open or Close

This morning you will be transferred from Wolfgangsee to Salzburg in time for your train from Salzburg to Venice. Once in Venice, you have the rest of the day to spend as you please.

Day 8
Venice - Day free Open or Close

You have the day free to explore this fascinating city on your own. Comprised of over 100 individual islands, the city has no roads with the canals serving as the main thoroughfare. The city dates back to the 10th Century AD and there’s much to see and do. We suggest that you take a excursion and discover the Venetian islands of Murano and Burano on a half-day trip from Venice. You’ll learn about the age-old handcrafts that brought these little islands fame and will even see the
quality Murano glass and Burano lace being made first-hand.

Day 9
Venice - Departure Open or Close
